Can I walk from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 HNL? ›

Passengers can walk between terminals 1 and 2, either before or after security, in 5 to 15 minutes, depending on the gate. If you're carrying luggage or prefer to rest your feet, you can take the Wiki Wiki Bus instead, which whisks passengers between all 3 terminals.

It's recommended to arrive 2.5 hours prior to departure for North American flights, 1.5 hours before Neighbor Island flights, and 3 hours before international flights. Check-in: Gate agents are waiting to check you and your baggage in.

An indoor walkway connects the Departures Area in Terminal 1 with the Arrivals Area of Terminal 2. From Terminal 1, exit the baggage reclaim area, turn right and take the escalator up to the next floor. The walkway is across from Check-In Area 1.

There are no shuttles between terminal 1 and terminal 2. You must clear custom, take your bag and take a taxi which will take 15 to 25 minutes depending of traffic. It will cost you 40 to 50 AED. Another alternative is to take the metro from terminal 1 to Abu Hail station (6 AED) and a taxi from there (10 AED).

Domestic Terminals 1, 2, and 3 are connected to each other and you can easily walk between them or take moving sidewalks and escalators. The walk from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 takes about 10 minutes, and from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 can take up to 20 minutes if you're walking from farthest gate to farthest gate.

Walking. Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are not far from each other, and passengers can stroll through the connecting walkways in just a few minutes. The walkway is outside of the secure area, so it is necessary to re-clear security on arrival at the next terminal.
