This position requires a valid Class E driver license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with the Department's Drivers Record Requirements Policy. An unacceptable driving record is defined as any of the following:

  1. three (3) or more moving violations in the past 3 years that accumulate 3 or more points per violation;
  2. any 2 convictions of reckless driving in the past 3 years;
  3. a suspension or revocation of the driver license for moving violations in the past 3 years; and
  4. a suspension or revocation for refusal to take a sobriety test, or any suspension or revocation for a DUI conviction in the past 4 years

Your driving record will be reviewed and the status of your driver license confirmed.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Performs independent and/or complex administrative tasks and special assignments, as assigned by the Statewide Toll Manager. This includes consulting with privatization contractor, support for toll facility managers, reviewing customer complaints and liaison with audit staff.

Conduct operational reviews at toll facilities throughout the state. Review collector audit reports and inform Statewide Toll Manager as appropriate.

Develop plans to improve existing operation procedures. Act as liaison between the toll facility and Revenue Collection Services (RCS) office personnel in meeting operational needs. Complete written reports detailing findings during operational reviews.

Assist other RCS operations personnel in identifying and solving problems. Assist in resolving work-related problems presented by facility personnel. Assist users of the automated toll collection system.

Provide administrative assistance to the RCS office staff as necessary. Write memos relating to the operational needs of toll facilities throughout the state.

Coordinate the employee training needs.

Attend statewide operation meetings as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of basic management principles and practices. Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices. Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials. Ability to conduct fact-finding research. Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques. Ability to work independently. Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

OTHER JOB RELATED REQUIREMENTS: Incumbent must remain available to work during off-duty periods. A class E Driver’s License is required.
