A “boomer” is an old person who acts condescendingly toward young people. It’s usually used as an insult. If you want to use the literal definition, you should use “Baby Boomer” 😂

@NessDV94 Boomer quiere decir una persona nacida en la época después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Se llaman así porque en ese tiempo había un aumento en bebés nacidos. Ahorra se usa en un forma de broma a referir a alguien que es "viejo o vieja".

@NessDV94 No problem! If your goal is to insult someone, “boomer” doesn’t even have to refer to a Baby Boomer. It can refer to someone even older or younger. I have seen it used in reference to anybody who complains about young people regardless of how old they are. If they are actually Generation X (born 1960’s-1980’s), they might be even more offended. Even if they are the same age as you, you can still call them a boomer if they’re insulting young people. It can also just be used as a friendly joke between friends. I’m 21 and my friends sometimes call me a boomer as a joke because I’m the oldest 😂
